How many hookah bars does this town need?

Uuuuhhhhh, none. I grew up with a pipe-smoking father and the thought of all of this stuff makes me nauseous.

I had to look it up on Wikipedia to know what it was.

I find it rather overkill to have two hookah bars within one square mile! I personally find it overkill to have any hookah bars, but that is beside the point!

I think this is the third.
One on Hillsborough, one on Glenwood and one on Peace.

I’m a little disappointed between this and the tattoo place two stores down. I was hoping that with the out of business Mexican restaurant up for rent those three places combined with the Hinsdale Row development and the new buildings going in around Hook Up Seafood could have made the area from Peace to Hillsborough and St. Mary’s to Glenwood a much bigger draw then it already is.

Bring on all the hoookah bars you can have. I think it shows diversity. Not sure if people think we need another Bogarts ??? I think we have enough of places like that. I go to the one on Hillsbough street sometimes and watch middle east TV, get a cup of tea and if it is night, I might sit around a hookah with friends taking a toke or two and listen to the music. Watch my crazy friend get out and dance. Heck, I got through college and grad school doing the same thing !!

Seriously, give it a rest. Glenwood doesn’t need to turn into a southern version of “The Hills.” Hookah bars add something different than bars with guys and women wearing flip flops or heels. How many hookah bars does this town need? At least one more.

Wow, there are a lot of haters here.
If this town doesn’t need another hookah lounge, then this place will flop.
Personally, I’m looking forward to checking this place out.

I think it’s a great location for a hookah lounge: Peace Street.

If they make an outdoor seating area (for which there is plenty room), then they’ll definitely have an edge over the other 2 places. Offering a range of coffee and tea would be a nice alternative to Starbucks as well!

I agree with Magnus, if Raleigh doesn’t need another Hookah bar, then it will close, or change. I have no interest in hookah, but a lot of people do. And if not enough…
