Scott Fitzgerald To Take WPTF Morning Helm
WPTF (680am) has hired Scott Fitzgerald away from Cincinnati’s WLW (700am). Fitzgerald’s father, Jim Scott, has been the 40-year morning host at WLW, but Fitzgerald is putting his dreams of taking his father’s seat one day on hold. This will be Fitzgerald’s first full time on-air gig.

All four people in the Triangle who still listen to AM radio will be scared to hear that there is new competition for their own shows that no one listens to.

You’re about 200,000 people low Magnus. I checked with a friend in the ad business who told me WPTF reaches about 100,000 listeners weekly. The other AM stations reach another hundred thousand. I start my day with WPTF and also catch 850 for sports news.
