They added bike lanes to streets and greenways connecting major city centers as well as added bike racks throughout the city. People are so gung-ho about using bikes to commute that one bike shop even developed a pick-up style bicycle where you can travel with a good amount of cargo if needed. I urge the planning committee to study Portland's plan or if possible send Mary Easley on another tax payer funded trip to Europe to get the details on bicycle transit.
