Hook Up Closing?
The Raleigh Chronicle is reporting today that the Hook Up Marina Bar and Resort is shutting its doors today. I did not get a chance to eat there, as their slogan was “Eat up, drink up, hook up” [purge]

Hate to hear it. I know, it was a cheesy concept and a pretty lame theme and name. BUT…for casual, inexpensive seafood, it was a good deal for the price! And everything I had there was pretty tasty.

I heard that it was “sold”, but that’s only chit chat and we all know how much that’s worth. But yeah, I could’ve really enjoyed a few more Marina Bar Mojitos!

I had a coupon to that joint and was intending to try it. But, I don’t know. The place looked a little shady to me.

^ I wouldn’t say shady. It was definitely very very casual, which matched the beach theme.
There occasionally was a crowd that would remind you of something you might find in a small dive bar in Key West or something. Sometimes a group of Harley’s would stop by…but they seemed to not be “too” terribly rowdy.
