“There has been a slight change of plans for the house moves. The move will take place on Saturday, August 23rd with a rain date of Sunday the 24th.

Our basic schedule is to start work at 7 am. The utility companies will have to lower the utilities from the poles first on both Blount and Polk Streets. They will do this without cutting off service to anyone. At about 8:30 am we will block off Blount Street, place wooden blocks across the
street and start moving the homes. The Watson Home will come first. It will cross Blount Street into our vacant lot, and then cross Polk Street to its permanent site behind the Murphey School. As soon as that is done, we
will move the Merrimon Wynne home across Blount Street to the lot at the corner of Blount and Polk Streets.

If all goes according to plan, we should be done by the middle of the afternoon. “
