Clark Leaves 850/620

It appears that last Monday was the final day for Chris Clark at 850TheBuzz and 620TheBull. Bomani Jones will now sit in from 10-1pm on The Bull.

    Dammit.

  • Lew

Darn … no more ‘Dan Patrick’ wanna be! Too bad Bomani is worse. That is a seriously sad stretch of programming.

  • MikeB

It would be nice to see a local station rely on talent instead of the usual bating technique (mainly targeting us overzealous State fans)

  • ChampKind

I liked Clark, and I ‘got’ his humor. He’ll be missed, if indeed he’s gone.

I also think Bomani is extremely talented…he’s intelligent, and brings a totally different perspective than most listeners in this area are accustomed to.

I’ll take Bomani any day. Smart, funny, perceptive, and a different way of looking at things.

I *used* to listen religiously to 850, but now just catch David Glenn once and a while for ACC commentary. I did like Clark. Any idea where he’s headed?

  • JoelS

Here’s to hoping Clark lands on his feet. Only Jim Rome is consistently funnier in the sportstalk world. But unlike Rome and everyone else, Clark had the rare ability of not taking himself so seriously. Like sitting on the couch with one of your boys.

A lame day at work was always turned around at 10 with his sarcastic takes on the sportsworld. Brett Favre’s locker, any Gorski call, whenever AG would step into the studio to antagonize him, playful jabs with the lunatic fringe of the local teams; all radio gold. I bet Stangl will miss him, too!

    Best of luck, Chris!

  • Voice of Reason

Chris Clark was pretty good. Good Luck to him wherever he’s headed.
