The current season of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” features Ed and Heba, a couple from Raleigh. In episode 1 the two were shown hanging out at Hi-5 when Bob Harper, one of the show’s trainers, appeared on the bar’s screens inviting them on the show. It can be seen here. (Advance to the 9:05 mark). The couple is this season’s “orange” team. Ed has a catering business named “Gourmeds” in downtown Raleigh.

There are two people from Greenville, SC on the show, too. Interestingly, during the show’s quick sweep of a Greenville streetscape, footage from Raleigh’s Wilmington Street at Christ Church is actually used.
