Broughton Gets 150+ Parking Spaces
The Raleigh City Council voted 7-1 today to approve a plan for 100 new parking spaces on the remaining front lawn space. Councilman Thomas Crowder was the only dissenting vote.
The Council asked the school to use permeable material that could later be removed to restore the lawn in the future, should the need arise. Additionally, the school will regain control of “The Strip”, which will enable 90-degree parking and allow for the return of 50 more spaces.
