I ate there last night and the food was awesome and the prices for sandwiches and less expensive entrees where very reasonable. Much better and cheaper than somewhere like Blinco’s. Give it a try.

I personally don’t know many people that go to a sports bar to order steak anyways… TV’s, beer, good looking waitresses, and a great location should prove to be a cool spot. If I lived in 222, I would be psyched!

I will do my best to support them if for no other reason than that it is smoke free. As other cities ban smoking in bars, I have often wished that this issue was left to the market. Not that I am a fan of smoking, but I am less of a fan of the nanny-state that legislates what is good for us.

Definitely ambitious. Some items like the strip mentioned above are not things I would seek out in a place like this, but I’d rather see an ambitious menu than a dumbed down sports bar menu. The wine list seems a little out of bounds to me, but again, maybe the Amra’s clientele will prove that wrong. Non smoking is awesome, I wish there were more non smoking places in Raleigh.

$27 for a NY Strip? What is this, Sullivans?

Wine prices are high too. $11 glass but $33 for the bottle? Obviously they don’t want to sell glasses of wine.
