I work downtown and am always excited to see a new place open. I try to support the restaurants around here, so I went to check out the Remedy. They’ve def done a nice job converting the old RolyPoly space. Good vibe. The menu looks great, but I was really surprised to see the prices. It’s all a little too overpriced for a regular weekday lunch option. I had a very non-impressive tuna melt, fries and a drink – it was around $13 before tax and tip. Sandwiches come with chips, but there’s an option to upgrade to fries for $2.50. For the extra charge, I was expecting something special with the fries, but they were just ordinary crinkle-cuts.
I was really hoping to have a traditional, everyday diner around the corner, but with the prices and the underwhelming food, it’s not an instant fav. Hopefully they’ll get everything balanced and become a real remedy to the downtown lunch scene.
