7C’s Cafe Replaces SuperKroger’s Bear Rock

7cs Recently the Bear Rock Cafe in Creekside Crossing (the SuperKroger shopping center at Six Forks and Wake Forest Roads) closed and was replaced by 7C’s Cafe (Warning: music – I wonder if they paid royalties for that licensed, haggard music on their site!).

The menu (warning: music) features sandwiches and salads inspired by “a world of cultures”. Prices generally hover in the $7 to $9 range for lunch, and jump a few dollars at dinner. I haven’t gotten a chances to dine there, but I will surely try their grilled ham & cheese, shrimp po’boy, and American Southwest grilled chicken sandwich. In the meantime I’ll try to figure out the meaning of the restaurant’s name, and the literal use of “c” instead of “sea”. (I’m an idiot)

    7C’s = 7 continents

    Duh! Thanks, Bob. It’s early.

Creekside Crossing represents some of North Hills’ biggest weaknesses with Bear Rock, Borders, and the Post Office. I miss the P.O. at NH, for one, but it was a land-eater. North Hills desperately needs a book store, though. There have been so many times that I would have perused a book store after seeing a movie or eating at one of the restaurants. McAllister’s just doesn’t cut it. Bear Rock should have been in there from the start.

Not Bear Rock, Village Deli! Cameron Village is a pain to get in and out of and North Raleigh needs one. Will have to check out 7C’s… usual lunch sports are getting old.

Yeah. Tim (VD) was all set to go into North Hills until he was diagnosed with Meniere’s Disease early in the process. At that point he was already committed to the Wake Forest location. The VD on Kildaire is actually a franchise by a former employee (the guy who looks just like Trey Anastasio).

I agree – CV is a pain for lunchtime parking.

Probably good timing on their part…that shopping center’s traffic is increasing with the nearby Costco and with Lifestyle Fitness getting a bunch of new members from Peak’s closing. Getting busier in that area by the day. And with Holly Park’s renovations and upcoming Trader Joes’ opening…this area will be as packed as North Hills, if not more so, pretty soon.

While the concept is good, I don’t see paying 12.99 for a burger and then extra for fries if you don’t want the free options. I would like to try the Primanti’s sandwich if they can make their fries the same way.

Tried this place – not great. Bear Rock is way better though I don’t think Bear Rock is anything special either.
