Over A Barrel
The has a good story about the Barrel Monster that appeared on Hillsborough Street. On of many gags from the site, the monster made of construction barrel pieces appeared as a work of art. Raleigh PD didn’t seem impressed, and charged Joseph Carnevale with larceny and damage to property.
While these crimes were technically committed, Wake County D.A. Colon Willoughby questions how serious the crime is. In fact one of the commenters at nopromise, Chad, suggested that the monster be the mascot for the DOT. Not a bad idea!

From Thursday, April 16 thu Sunday, April 19, will be coming to Charlie Goodnight’s comedy club. (My favorite line of hers: I just got divorced (awww). Yeah it’s really sad….. There was a child involved….him.)
Bill Cosby Coming to Durham
Durham’s new performing arts center is on a roll. Bill Cosby is coming March 29 for two shows (5pm and 8:30pm). at 10:00am TODAY.
Norm MacDonald Coming to Charlie Goodnights
Charlie Goodnights will welcome Norm MacDonald for four shows in January. The shows are at 8:00pm and 10:15pm on both Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31. The show is rated “R” and this is a special event, so no passes, discounts, or crack whores are accepted. .
