First move to a buy-out of Brindys’ last contract year next year. I think Brindy will take the buy-out in the hope he may be considered for the hall of fame. Another year like the last 2 and he has to think he will not qualify. I am not saying he will be in the HOF, but could be on his mind.
Good move but I hope it gets Staal to put forth more effort. I know he has been hurt but after watching him for years, healthy or not, he does skate around waiting for the puck to come to him. Even the TV and radio guys have hinted to this and they know his injury status. Anyway, moving to the future with taylor Hall or Tyler Sequin, depending on lottery draft pick selection.

I knew this was going to happen, but I thought not til next year. I think it’s a good move, despite Staal’s less-than-stellar performance this year.
