North Hills Getting Bookery

Emerald Isle Books, a privately owned, small bookstore at the beach is relocating to Raleigh’s North Hills. The North Hills Bookery plans to open in the first week of November. From the EIB website:

We carry a wide variety of books including the current bestsellers. From mysteries to romance we have all the popular authors.

Note: The NH Bookery will occupy the space that Wolf Camera once filled, to the right of Jolly’s.

A family owned independent bookstore opened in 1989, Emerald Isle Books and Toys also carries a full line of stationery and greeting cards. We gift wrap for free and are proud of our record of customer service. We discount the latest hardbacks and we have a frequent buyer program. Located in front of the cinema at Emerald Plantation.

I grew up going to this very bookstore during family vacations to EI…very excited to see this here in Raleigh. NH has needed a bookstore for some time. Any ideas where they will locate?

Have been to the EI bookstore 100plus times. Great store but will be interesting to see if they can make it. The QRBS model I guess works in Raleigh so they need to get some writers in and hit the right target market. Good North hills location but we will see.

They won’t be there long. A bookstore can’t afford North Hills’ rent.

I frequent this bookstore in Emerald Isle when I’m there and if ANY bookstore can be successful in this location, it’s this one. It’s very unique and offers only the best merchandise. My kids love it and so do I .Emerald Isle’s loss is Raleigh’s gain.
